Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream started in 1945 when Alice Handel started making ice cream flavors with fruit grown in her backyard. The popularity of the product became a local obsession when she started serving the ice cream at her husband’s gas station in Youngstown, Ohio. Today, there are 48 homemade flavors made fresh daily at each location. “We never skimp” on any of our ingredients and our portions are abundant. We can’t wait to serve you!
