Local Artist Murals at Jefferson Pointe
In partnership with the Fort Wayne Public Arts Commission, a call for artists & open application process was conducted in the summer of 2021 culminating with a people’s choice contest to select four mural installations that now live on the exterior arch wall of Eddie Bauer for the community to enjoy.
Here are the four featured artists commissioned with the winning installations:
“Fort Wayne is my home and already has so much to offer, I wanted the design and colors to capture that feeling. I’m proud to share my talents and hope these murals are a welcomed addition to our growing public art collection.”
“I am a local artist who graduated from Columbus college of art and design and have been doing art for several years. I am very excited to be part of the mural project because I love the atmosphere of Jefferson Pointe.”
“I’m an illustrator and designer from Fort Wayne, constantly in search of inspiration from new people, places, things, and ideas. Designing a mural has been a dream of mine for quite some time, and this will be my very first one. I’m so grateful to the community and to Jefferson Pointe for this opportunity to help make one of Fort Wayne’s top attractions a little bit more beautiful.”
“I’m super excited to do this mural! I have plenty of experience in doing murals, as I’ve been an artist’s assistant multiple times, but this is the first one I can call my own.”
