The final steel beams have been installed on the Global Ambassador, the debut hotel from one of Phoenix’s most well-known restaurateurs, and it is expected to open late next year.
Located on the northwest corner of Camelback Road and 44th Street in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood, the Global Ambassador will be a 5-story hotel with 141 rooms and several food and beverage outlets.

Global real estate services firm JLL announced it will expand and relocate its Arizona headquarters to The Grove, a $400 million mixed-use development in Phoenix. The brokerage firm will occupy 31,000 square feet on the first floor of the 180,000-square-foot office building underway at 4300 E. Camelback Road, which is slated for completion in the third quarter of this year.
JLL will relocate this fall from the 18,000-square-foot space it currently occupies at 3131 E. Camelback Road, less than 2 miles from its future home. The new space will house more than 120 brokers.
A direct mail software startup is investing more than $40 million to relocate its headquarters to the Valley from San Francisco.
Last year, Sendoso signed a lease for nearly 60,000 square feet at The Grove, which is located at 4300 E. Camelback Road in the Arcadia area in Phoenix.
The company, which has $152 million in venture funding, plans to move its headquarters in November and bring close to 1,000 jobs to the city. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego announced the company’s move and addition of 700 jobs at her state of the city address on Friday.

The 4,200-square-foot restaurant located at 44th Street and Camelback Road will have an open-flame concept for its menu, a cocktail bar and an outdoor patio with an open hearth.
Pyro will be open for both lunch and dinner. The development and restaurant is scheduled to open in fall of 2023.
